Designer Interview of Ruohan Li:
DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
RL : I'm delighted to share more about my background in art and design. From a young age, I've harbored a strong passion for art and design. Drawing, painting, and creating have always been enjoyable activities for me. This early interest naturally steered me towards pursuing formal education in art and design. I studied at Shantou University, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. Throughout my studies, I honed my skills across various design disciplines, including graphic design, product design, and branding. My journey into becoming an artist and designer was fueled by a desire to express creativity and communicate ideas visually. I find great joy and fulfillment in translating abstract concepts into tangible and visually captivating designs that resonate with audiences. The fusion of aesthetics and functionality to create meaningful experiences through design is what fuels my passion for this field. Although I didn't always envision myself as a designer, my natural inclination towards artistic expression and problem-solving naturally guided me towards this career path. It has been an enriching journey, and I draw constant inspiration from the ever-evolving landscape of art and design.

It's about finding innovative solutions to challenges while also considering aesthetics, functionality, and user experience. Design encompasses various disciplines such as graphic design, product design, interior design, and more, each with its unique approach and purpose. Ultimately, design is a powerful tool for transforming ideas into tangible, impactful outcomes that enhance people's lives and experiences.
DI: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
RL : For me, "design" is a creative process through which I can transform ideas, concepts, and emotions into concrete visual expressions or practical products. Design is not just about aesthetic pursuit; it's also about the combination of functionality, user experience, and conveying meaning. It's a communication tool that guides people's understanding and feelings about things, and can even influence their behavior and decisions. Therefore, for me, design is a powerful and impactful tool that can create genuine value and meaning.
