Designer Interview of Yongcai Huang:

DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?

YH : In the past decade (2003 - 2013) and design-related work, but also happens to be the decade of the industry outside the wait and see, inspired me to design thinking and precipitation. I want to find the diversity of life, while looking for diversity of arguments and evidence.

DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?

YH : http://www.i-rma.hkRma Republican urban design was founded by ray wong Huang yongcai in 2013. based on the architecture, space, interior and product design industries, we are determined to use philosophical thinking system and international design language to gather lonely people's thinking and jointly create the ultimate design works and experience. we are the silent jailbreaker in the traditional design industry, the pirate ship of the new sensory ocean, breaking down the old concepts and unchanging routines, and bringing new design shock.

DI: What is "design" for you?

YH : Song's club, D-Force, X-club

DI: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?

YH : Song's club

DI: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?

YH : When I do a project, the first thing I think about is not from the designer's point of view, from the customer, the owner, business strategy to think about where the project's special point. Then combined with the market demand, make a certain judgment. Think again about how design works. At the same time will go back to the project experience, observe the guest experience of the project.

DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?

YH : I like it. like their children were born.

DI: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?

YH : In fact, each project is a product, designed to do well, executed in response to the market. If the product can form a good hot topic, so as to bring good benefits to the owner, this proves to be a good product.

DI: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?

YH : I think that design should be evolutionary, and evolution needs to inject some forward-looking ideas into past perceptions. I will bring them more open ideas and explore the possibilities that design brings to life.

DI: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?

YH : I think the interior design will be more diverse, return to humanistic care, more artistic and emotional expression. Under the information age people are flooded by the torrent of information, but people become more and more lonely. The interior design responds to these social problems.

DI: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?

YH : In fact, each project is a product, designed to do well, executed in response to the market. If the product can form a good hot topic, so as to bring good benefits to the owner, this proves to be a good product.

DI: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?

YH : an unrestrained and vigorous style that brims with talent

DI: How do you work with companies?

YH : I think the interior design will be more diverse, return to humanistic care, more artistic and emotional expression.

DI: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?

YH : I hope my colleagues will be able to think on their own。

DI: Can you talk a little about your design process?

YH : I think the fun of design is to discover the many possibilities of life, the different sounds bring to the thinking. So you will experience life in different places and think about the possibilities of life.

DI: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?

YH : Knowledge needs precipitation, need to have a certain knowledge precipitation, to reach the height.

DI: From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?

YH : This era is not lack of voice, in precipitation at the same time, have the courage to express their ideas. Let more people pay attention to you.

DI: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?

YH : There is no specific time to speak of

DI: What was your most important job experience?

YH : probably started in 2001 into the interior design industry, in 2003 set up a RED design, mainly to do digital multimedia and design-related gunmen. 2013 and friends jointly set up the Republic of urban design, began to design their own projects, made some influential works, such as just mahogany furniture experience museum, Song it.

DI: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why?

YH : Interior design

DI: What are your future plans? What is next for you?

YH : For the future, you should explore how to find fun and interesting points in your design, and then bring them to you and get inspiration from them.

YH : Song's Restaurant。Made of 400,000 glass feathers and 100,000 stainless steel bricks
