DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?

ME : The passion for the design world has been born since I was a child. I was trying to improve everything around me. I have always been fascinated by the beautiful things. I've been working in architecture studios and I'm still working on graphics. Art in all its forms (design, photography, sculpture, etc ...) is my great passion because it allows me to express my personality and my style.

DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?

ME : I created Design Me in 2010 from an idea that I had in mind for years. The project has always aimed to create connectivity and synergies between users. Registration is free to give the possibility to everyone to promote their ideas and creativity on the net through the Design Me platform. A portal that values meritocracy.

DI: What is "design" for you?

ME : Design is my life. I think it represents the essence of things in all arts and everyday life.

DI: What kinds of works do you like designing most?

ME : I want to design marine accessories. The sea is the place that has seen me grow and has always inspired my creativity.

DI: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?

ME : The most successful project of which I am proud is Design Me.

DI: What was the first thing you designed for a company?

ME : My first project was the realization graphics for wallpaper of a famous Italian company.

DI: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?

ME : The materials that in my opinion have great potential and versatility are resin and fiberglass.

DI: When do you feel the most creative?

ME : I'm more creative in the evening.

DI: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?

ME : The most important aspects are the aesthetics and therefore the search for the emotional part of an object.

DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?

ME : I'm never completely satisfied. I always pretend very much to myself.

DI: What makes a design successful?

ME : The design must meet a need and above all must become an object of desire.

DI: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?

ME : Aesthetics and then functionality.

DI: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?

ME : The main responsibility is to create a useful and quality product.

DI: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?

ME : Crafts, tailoring, handmade manufacturing.

DI: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?

ME : Among my exhibitions were important collections: at the Salone del Mobile in 2009 and in the Napoleonic Room of the Accademia di Brera in 2010.

DI: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?

ME : I'm inspired by tradition. I think the most simple and common objects you can create things with more innovative forms and sophisticated.

DI: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?

ME : Eccentric style.

DI: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?

ME : Living in Milan stimulates my creativity because it is a source of research, ideas and dynamic place with so many opportunities.

DI: How do you work with companies?

ME : It is a reciprocal exchange, a source of inspiration.

DI: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?

ME : Empathy is the basis of relations, then it is essential professionalism.

DI: Can you talk a little about your design process?

ME : It's all about thinking. I often ideas come while I talk to people.

DI: What are 5 of your favorite design items at home?

ME : Sofa, bookcase, furnishing accessories, paintings and plants.

DI: Can you describe a day in your life?

ME : They are dynamic days where art and design take up most of the hours.

DI: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?

ME : It 'important to be tenacious, have brilliant ideas, believing in himself. The will and commitment are the basis for everything.

DI: From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?

ME : Positive is to be able to create things, while negative is that often these things are not produced.

DI: What is your "golden rule" in design?

ME : An apparently complex object that is simple in design and use.

DI: What skills are most important for a designer?

ME : Creativity and creativity.

DI: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?

ME : The most common software such as illustrator, cad, 3Dmax and others.

DI: Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?

ME : I live for design. I continue to be designer even in leisure time.

DI: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?

ME : It depends a lot on projects, from one day to a month.

ME : How a project is born.

DI: What was your most important job experience?

ME : I worked in important design studios and publishing houses.

DI: Who are some of your clients?

ME : Furniture companies and communication agencies.

DI: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why?

ME : I like to work in the digital world because it is a dynamic industry in continuous development.

DI: What are your future plans? What is next for you?

ME : So many new projects that I can not say anything.

DI: Do you have any works-in-progress being designed that you would like to talk about?

ME : I can not talk about it.
