We, as the Designer Interviews ("DI") had the distinct pleasure and opportunity to interview award-winning, most creative and innovative Vrossis ("Vrossis").

Vrossis is the first Greek Company that produces High end technology cosmetics and one of a few in Europe during the period of the greek economic crisis. It is the first Greek company that penetrated the Iranian market, one of the most difficult markets to approach in the World and looks forward to make the big change in the international cosmetic industry . Vrossis is financially ''clean'' from any kind of debts.

DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?

Vrossis : actually there is no design background. Main idea came from the owners of Vrossis, and then the Brainstorm team applied the graphics. It was one of the most creative and happy period for all.

DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?

Vrossis : Brainstorm team , is one of the most distinguished in Greece, and very well known in Europe.

DI: What is "design" for you?

Vrossis : a creation, like an installation or a painting.

DI: What kinds of works do you like designing most?

Vrossis : mostly visuals

DI: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?

Vrossis : barceloneta chair. Timeless , refined lines, and serves its purpose 100%

DI: What was the first thing you designed for a company?

Vrossis : toys for modern art museum

DI: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?

Vrossis : ha ha,you ll laugh but its auto-cad, but to be honest not working on it

DI: When do you feel the most creative?

Vrossis : when working as a team

DI: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?

Vrossis : simplicity is the magic word when working on a design

DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?

Vrossis : love and joy

DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?

Vrossis : they range from anger to love

DI: What makes a design successful?

Vrossis : to stimulate the sense of vision , in a way that can t resist t make it yours.

DI: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?

Vrossis : it is subjective, depends on someone w character, emotions , professional background, and many other factors. You have to develop a global understanding in order to make a such big evaluation.

DI: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?

Vrossis : Designer creates, creation moves humanity towards. He is a leader for making history . Big responsibility like the protection of the environment.

DI: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?

Vrossis : good news ..Design is eternal it eas always evolved using different means. painting is design, cinema is design. Design is the base of other arts

DI: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?

Vrossis : Havent done yet

DI: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?

Vrossis : from my trips. Travelling is food for creativity and inspiration because all senses are stimulated.

DI: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?

Vrossis : The simplest the better for me

DI: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?

Vrossis : in Greece we have a heritage. of course this is big luck and big value to my general education and personal culture

DI: How do you work with companies?

Vrossis : very good . We form a team with people who work in these companies and then for a long period we brainstorm , all toghether

DI: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?

Vrossis : Chemistry...it like a relationship.

DI: Can you talk a little about your design process?

Vrossis : it is never stable..always changing

DI: What are 5 of your favorite design items at home?

Vrossis : telephone, and 4 lamps

DI: Can you describe a day in your life?

Vrossis : waking up, coffee, talk with friends , surfing on the net, meeting with working teams, gym then out for a drink with friends.

DI: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?

Vrossis : always learn, listen, travel and love

DI: From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?

Vrossis : we are artists what better could we have in our life. WE belong to a 1% of general population that work in what they want. we are blessed.

DI: What is your "golden rule" in design?

Vrossis : the simplest the best.

DI: What skills are most important for a designer?

Vrossis : global knowledge, low profile, and lot of love

DI: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?

Vrossis : my i pad, my mac, and a fly ticket anywhere in the world

DI: Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?

Vrossis : if you love you can do anything

DI: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?

Vrossis : from 1 day to 2 years
