DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?

JC : I graduated from Guangzhou Acmdemy of Fine Arts in China and now work in a design company in Hongkong. I like everything about art. I think it's fun to create something.

DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?

JC : We are a new design company with a total of 10 employees. We are passionate about design.

DI: What is "design" for you?

JC : Design is a kind of art for human to change nature.

DI: What kinds of works do you like designing most?

JC : No fixed preferences. I like all the good things.

DI: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?

JC : My hobby is changing, but I like simple design.

DI: What was the first thing you designed for a company?

JC : An apartment.

DI: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?

JC : I like natural things and handmade things.

DI: When do you feel the most creative?

JC : I like to chat, chat often appear some creativity.

DI: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?

JC : The relationship between space and people.

DI: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?

JC : Many sources of inspiration, mostly from life.

DI: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?

JC : In fact, I do not think I belong to a particular style of design, should belong to the modern style. My design is characterized by: remove all useless things.

DI: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?

JC : I live in china. Chinese culture will certainly affect every chinese. China is characterized by "fast", everything is very fast, this is the advantage and disadvantage.

DI: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?

JC : Everyone's attitude towards the design is not the same, it is difficult to recommend.

JC : I like to use a pencil to help me think about the paper, and finally use the computer to draw.

JC : My home is not too much about the design items, home is just a place to rest.

JC : Everyone's attitude towards the design is not the same, it is difficult to recommend.

JC : When customers can not understand my design will be a little negative.
