Designer Interview of Arsalan Ghadimi:
DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
AG : I always had a passion for design, but first I studied software engineering, but after completing the course, I decided to follow the design and after completing the course in industrial design, I entered the workplace in the same field. Should be mentioned design for me is more than a worthwhile business. Design is all my life.
DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
AG : I started out as a freelancer, but I needed to have a perfect team and In 2017, I founded the Ghaf design studio.Ghaf Design Studio It consists of people who are in different areas of design, production and business. Design projects in the field of medicine, packaging, home appliances, fashion, home furniture, lighting, urban furniture and... Which continues to operate with various projects around the world, especially the Middle East.
DI: What is "design" for you?
AG : If Design is a body, details is constructive atoms body's
DI: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
AG : In short, all objects that make me be a handyman for the people. We designing to make the world a better place.
DI: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
AG : All conceptual designs made into the product have been transformed. They are lovely for me because they have become a reality.
DI: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
AG : Finding good and professional friends to organization a teamMy first professional experience in product design is related to a stool and lighting for a festival.
DI: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
AG : wood and plastics and molding
DI: When do you feel the most creative?
AG : Always, because is my job
DI: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
AG : Form and production possibility
DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
AG : Designing and creating a new product is an undeniable sense, is wonderful sense
DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
AG : In my opinion, the biggest emotional event for a designer is to achieve the result. Now this result can be a cheap product or a precious product. The type of emotion is not related to the number of designs. Because creating a product is always exciting. Honor and pleasure of being useful, to see the product being used by others (people) who are entitled to the good life.
DI: What makes a design successful?
AG : A successfully design, it has to satisfy certain criteria, not only functional but also psychological and aesthetic. Good design emphasizes the usefulness of a product while disregarding anything that could possibly detract from it.
