Azimuth studio founded in 2015 as an architectural and engineering consultancy practice based in Al Madina, Saudi Arabia led by an experienced and inspirational team. DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?

DI: What is "design" for you?
AFA&D : I believe that design is a creative process done by a special group of people who have enough experience and knowledge to improve human life
DI: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
AFA&D : We are an architectural office specializing in all types of creative design, but we prefer to design residential and commercial buildings with a contemporary identity and a modern style as appropriate with our Arab identity
DI: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
AFA&D : Our first project was the interior design of a luxury residential villa within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Medina. A combination of traditional and modern elements has been adopted during the design process to create a comfortable and intimate atmosphere for users.
DI: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
AFA&D : Within the office we deal with a wide range of materials, however we prefer to use local materials suitable for the environment of the city and its identity like Riyadh stone & marble ..etc But this does not preclude the use of modern materials like Alucobond & Aluminum
DI: What skills are most important for a designer?
AFA&D : The designer should have the creative ability and intelligence to match the user's requirements with the design process.
DI: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
AFA&D : There is no specific period for the design process. It follows the size, type and specificity of the project.
