DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?

JH : Graduated from Guangdong Ocean University in 2011, bachelor degree, major in art and design, in Zhanjiang, china. In a Shantou University art and design open class, and Mr.Kan Tai-keung dialogue. From that moment, I want to be a designer.

DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?

JH : Studio in Shantou, there are delicious beef balls.

DI: What is "design" for you?

JH : Design, in order to solve the problems arising in the course of life, make life better.

DI: What kinds of works do you like designing most?

JH : The work that makes life better is my favorite work.

DI: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?

JH : Font, although it is a kind of abstract symbols, but because of the whole society to participate in it, the society is refined, the common behavior. Cultural precipitation!

DI: What was the first thing you designed for a company?

JH : Deep understanding of the company, not based on the nature of the company's design is empty talk.

DI: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?

JH : I like all the new technologies.

DI: When do you feel the most creative?

DI: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?

DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?

DI: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?

JH : The design is peaceful, not the act of asking for excess resources from nature.

DI: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?

JH : Design domain - not an independent system, which is a part of the whole ecosystem. On the premise of political stability and economic development, people's quality of life is improving, and the process of design is also steadily increasing. With the improvement of the quality of life, the future of the design will be more and more beautiful.

DI: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?

JH : In Shanghai, China, I hope to be able to step out of the country.

DI: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?

JH : Inspiration comes from life, I often read some books in the rest of the time, the curiosity of things is the source of my creative design. Especially in a country with five thousand years of history and culture, those civilizations have not broken and colorful civilization is always so mysterious, always so attractive.

DI: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?

JH : East, because living in this deep cultural soil. Style is to try to make the design can be the perfect integration in life.

DI: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?

JH : Living in Guangdong, China, by the country's cultural heritage. The advantage is that the design cost is relatively low, everyone can consume. The disadvantage is that the foundation is relatively weak, the need for more cultural precipitation.

DI: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?

JH : First open your eyes, more hands and more brains at the same time, more than the feeling of life.
