We, as the Designer Interviews ("DI") had the distinct pleasure and opportunity to interview award-winning, most creative and innovative Jiawen Lian ("JL").
My name is Jiawen Lian, born in China and based in Milan. After graduated from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano and Domus Academy, I am currently working as an experience designer and strategist. Been a multidisciplinary designer with a background in Interaction design and Product Design, I never forget where I started to explore design world. Every project of mine starts with a strong foothold in User-Centered Design, I would like to solve problems by giving products or services a unique user experience.

DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
JL : Bachelor's Degree in Product Design from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano, Master Degree in Interaction Design in Domus Academy. Currently working as an interaction designer.To create, to solve problems, to give product unique user experienceWhen I was young, I was wondering to become a designer.

JL : To optimise the world we live, even in a small single pieces of thing

JL : A wild, logic, world full of order and beautiful
DI: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
JL : It was in Guangzhou, 2017I have not planing my next exhibition yet
DI: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
JL : For every single moment of my daily life.By exploring, feeling, thinking
DI: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
JL : Minimal but useful
DI: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
