DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?

KJH : Learning Architectural Education from childhood, interested in space shape, and gradually contact with interior design, to explore more interaction with people in space details Always hope to be able to provide professional technology to the public with space needs

DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?

KJH : Space design pursues the balance of rationality and sensibility, and provides professional space design details based on the actual users, so as to gain the trust of the public

KJH : Modify and correct the user's questions, propose life style, and combine the two.

DI: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?

KJH : Aesthetic responsibility, will be beautiful creation to show the public. Environmental responsibility, with environmentally friendly and safe materials.

DI: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?

KJH : Extreme quantification and extreme customization

DI: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?

KJH : Travel, read. More observation, more experience of different spatial feelings

DI: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?

KJH : The lines are simple and have a high-level sense. Feel elegant and relaxed Observation and communication

DI: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?

KJH : Taipei, Taiwan, Taiwan has a diverse culture and different life styles. Their ideas and materials are often used as reference. The acceptability of the people is relatively high, and the gap between taste and aesthetics is very large. The general people have no idea about design and do not know what they want.

DI: How do you work with companies?

KJH : Assist in various space needs and become a space life consultant

DI: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?

KJH : Always maintain good communication methods with designers, and flexible changes in operation modes meet everyone's different needs. Mainly choose designers who have the attitude of pursuing perfection and serious learning attitude

DI: Can you talk a little about your design process?

KJH : At the beginning, I wanted to create a fuzzy space between indoor and outdoor areas, so I used a relatively outdoor material. In addition, I wanted to create a warm fashion sense, so I wanted to mix different materials

DI: What are 5 of your favorite design items at home?

KJH : 1. Matching of windows and view. 2. Kitchen moving wire gauge. 3. Display of works of art in the display cabinet. 4. Relaxing atmosphere in the bathroom. 5. Creation of sleeping space in bedroom.

DI: Can you describe a day in your life?

KJH : Busy but full

DI: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?

KJH : Keep the initial enthusiasm, not arrogant, always learn.

DI: From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?

KJH : Positive: can enjoy the picture realization in fantasy. Negative: when the brain doesn't stop.

DI: What is your "golden rule" in design?

KJH : Interesting interrelationship between spaces

DI: What skills are most important for a designer?

KJH : Listening and communicating

DI: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?

KJH : Various colors of brushes. AUTOCAD. Tablet PC. Coffee

DI: Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?

KJH : Late at night is the best time to meditate, quiet and undisturbed.

DI: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?

KJH : It depends on the difficulty of the case.
