DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : I was enlightened by a professor at the university level. I took the road of architectural design and never stopped.

DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : My journey to becoming a designer started back on a journey to India in 2008.Sometime in my first few years in the real world, it dawned on me that design plays a major role in communicating at all levels.but we are so in love in the relationship between human & space around it.

DI: What is "design" for you?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : An expression of civilization in the smallest or largest form.

DI: What kinds of works do you like designing most?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : Education and cultural architecture.Display design and museum

DI: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : This question is very amusing, but what we like most in design is to enjoy every problem solving and propose the most elegant solution.

DI: What was the first thing you designed for a company?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : A large-scale public space summer vacation stall with a display space for public participation

DI: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : We love to find any material that can express emotions for a special space expression. We love the emotion of materials. So we don’t limit the use of materials.even look forward to find out more

DI: When do you feel the most creative?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : when I am alone

DI: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : Whether it can show the emotionality of space

DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : Isolated.happiness

DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : Like Andy Dufresne of The Shawshank Redemption getting out the prison.

DI: What makes a design successful?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : the emotionality of space and the feeling come with it

DI: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : Does the design team present the correct expression?

DI: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : Keep the planet's environmental protection and sustainability

DI: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : Like the artists of the Renaissance, the boundaries of the profession are no longer important. Only the sensibility

DI: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : We have three exciting exhibitions at the same time, and we hope to have a chance to share with you soon.

DI: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : nature.everything about the nature.

DI: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : We continue to advance in the field of sensibility, hoping to create a Morning light.wind in summer light

DI: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : Taichung, a small city in central Taiwan.Taiwan’s space design industry is very mature and very commercial, and it is both an advantage and a disadvantage.

DI: How do you work with companies?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : Most of the time I personally decide all the design directions, and then deepen with the strength of the team.

DI: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : Depending how the companies appreciate.

DI: Can you talk a little about your design process?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : first coffee.and wonder how a project could bring out a sense of character in my sight of view.and draw in many possible way.

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : always stay true

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : Pencil and paper.

DI: Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?

CHIH-YUAN,HUNG : i don't.may the force be with you.you know its true
