We, as the Designer Interviews ("DI") had the distinct pleasure and opportunity to interview award-winning, most creative and innovative Taka + Partners ("T+P").
Taka + Partners is a multi-awarded architectural and design practice, based in Thessaloniki, Greece. The practice was founded in 2006 by Aspasia Taka, MSc Architect AUTH | NTUA. TAKA + PARTNERS studio in Dubai was established in 2013. The studio delivers excellent architecture design and implementation that meets the needs of customers, provides creative solutions, and adds to the value of their investment. Services correspond with high design standards and promote the urge for consistent outgrowth. Designer Interview of Taka + Partners:
DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
T+P : I hold a degree in architecture from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and department of architecture, University of Florence (Italy). I also hold a master’s degree from the National Technical University of Athens in the field of “Research in Architecture: Architectural Design - Space – Culture”.
DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
T+P : TAKA + PARTNERS is a multi-awarded architectural and design practice. The studio was founded by me back in 2006 under the name ASPASIA TAKA architects. Our Middle East department was established in 2013 in Dubai. Since then the studio and team has grown up end evolved. The studio was rebranded to TAKA + PARTNERS and moved in a 400 sqm brand new office in 2020.
DI: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
T+P : TAKA + PARTNERS portfolio embodies a variety of projects in the fields of hospitality, residential complexes and apartments, retail, leisure, office buildings, exhibition spaces, landscape design and audiovisual space. We provide integrated architectural and interior design services including furniture and object design, as well. Diversity in design and team members is what characterizes TAKA + PARTNERS the most.
DI: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
T+P : Wellbeing is a key element in my design. The concept of wellbeing, euphoria and emotional health are in accordance with the principles of human – centered design. It is about feelings and ease in a unique spatial experience.
