Designer Interview of Pouya Mirhosseini:

DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?

PM : I have always had a strong passion for art and design since childhood. As a kid, I expressed my creativity through drawing and crafting small objects. This love for creativity and problem-solving naturally led me to industrial design. The combination of art and engineering in this field allows me to turn innovative ideas into functional and beautiful products. I have always been fascinated by creating new things and improving people’s daily lives, which has been my primary motivation for pursuing a career in design.

DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?

PM : My design studio operates from a home office, which provides a quiet and creative environment for work. This setup allows me to focus deeply on my projects and leverage modern design tools to bring innovative ideas to life. Having a home office has not only boosted my productivity but also offers the flexibility to manage diverse projects and maintain better communication with clients. In this space, I focus on designing functional and aesthetically pleasing products that enhance everyday life.

DI: What is "design" for you?

PM : Design, for me, is a creative and purposeful process that involves solving problems, enhancing user experiences, and adding value to people's lives. It is not just about creating something visually appealing but a harmonious blend of aesthetics, functionality, and impact. For me, design is a tool to tell a story, evoke emotion, and transform complex problems into simple and practical solutions.
