DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?

YWYT : My works include graphic, branding, product, environmental and product design, I love art and drawing when I was child, but my family told me I cannot study or work in design industry, because they doesn't know design meaning because they are traditional people, I'm part time study design course in Hong Kong.

DI: What is "design" for you?

YWYT : Design meaning is can improve or make people life better and happy.

DI: What kinds of works do you like designing most?

YWYT : I love different type of design projects

DI: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?

YWYT : My favourite design should product because I can join each step and process when I develop

DI: What was the first thing you designed for a company?

YWYT : Maybe character,

DI: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?

YWYT : Paper and blue pencil.

DI: When do you feel the most creative?

YWYT : When I listen music and I can focus in my creative.

DI: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?

YWYT : I will more focus in production when I thinking the concept

DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?

YWYT : I feel tense but I also feel happy in each design project

DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?

YWYT : I feel tense in final stage, production is most important

DI: What makes a design successful?

YWYT : Focus and keep leaning

DI: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?

YWYT : Maybe in design concept

DI: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?

YWYT : Can apply my design to help different people need is my honour

DI: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?

YWYT : Digital, technical, and traditional combine maybe is future of design direction

DI: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?

YWYT : My last exhibition 2016 in Hong Kong, My next planning maybe in Japan

DI: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?

YWYT : My inspiration come form my live, environmental, and love.

DI: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?

YWYT : My style is no limit, simple and vary.

DI: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?

YWYT : I live in Hong Kong, its a very busy and high speed place. In Hong Kong everyday in change so haven't any special cultural. Maybe affects my design can more flexible

DI: How do you work with companies?

YWYT : I try to work with different interesting projects and make my company portfolio have different style

DI: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?

YWYT : Maybe can focus in creative world and enjoy the works

DI: Can you talk a little about your design process?

YWYT : Before start in computer works I also enjoy hand sketch each project idea.

DI: What are 5 of your favorite design items at home?

YWYT : Lamp, Coffee, Music, flower, deco

DI: Can you describe a day in your life?

YWYT : Actually I have very busy I will work with different people and join different meeting, after daily work I still working at home

DI: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?

YWYT : enjoy the work and keep learning interest things

DI: From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?

YWYT : Design industry is interesting work but it also very hard working

DI: What is your "golden rule" in design?

YWYT : Don't limit on your thinking

DI: What skills are most important for a designer?

YWYT : Keep to train up your computer skills

DI: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?

YWYT : I will use Paper, blue pencil, computer and Adobe tools when I design

DI: Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?

YWYT : Keep to update my timeline and schedule, remind the deadline

DI: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?

YWYT : Almost 1 year for environmental project

YWYT : Are you okay?

YWYT : Branding design, because I can create full story in branding design
