She is a master graduate student, like photography, love the fun of the kind, the details of life enriched her creation.She also is an independent designer, personal brand in the establishment.

DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
LH : I have loved design since I was young, and I believe that design is a great thing.
DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
LH : I am currently an independent designer.
DI: What is "design" for you?
LH : Design covers multiple fields.Design is the process of solving problems, it is a creative activity.
DI: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
LH : My favorite works use natural materials, such as bamboo, wood, and rattan weaving.
DI: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
LH : My favorite chair is from the Song Dynasty,The chairs of the Song Dynasty presented a neat, concise, elegant and simple artistic style, with an approachable temperament.
DI: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
LH : My undergraduate graduation project.
DI: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
LH : My favorite natural material is bamboo.
DI: When do you feel the most creative?
LH : I can extract a lot of inspiration from nature and inspire a lot of creativity.
DI: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
LH : The visual and functional aspects of design are both.
DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
LH : I think design is a dialogue with users, so good expression is important.
DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
LH : When I solved the difficulties in the design, I felt a great sense of achievementt.
DI: What makes a design successful?
LH : Passion and persistence.
DI: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
LH : Harmony and unity in design.
DI: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
LH : Design is a purposeful social behavior, not an individual's self-expression.
DI: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
LH : Design is integrating multiple fields, and future forms of design presentation will become increasingly diverse.
DI: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
LH : The last time I participated in an exhibition was in 2019. In the future, I hope to participate in more exhibition methods, such as cloud exhibitions.
DI: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
LH : My design inspiration comes from traditional culture, and I believe that a profound understanding of tradition is essential for innovation.
DI: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
LH : My design inspiration comes from tradition, extracting inspiration elements from tradition as design elements.
DI: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
LH : I come from China, and Chinese culture has a long and rich history, which has had a great influence on my design.
DI: How do you work with companies?
LH : As an independent designer collaborating with the company.
DI: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?
LH : When collaborating with a company, designers should have their own unique design style.
DI: Can you talk a little about your design process?
LH : My design process involves subtraction, starting with divergent thinking and then selecting a perspective to delve deeper into the design.
DI: What are 5 of your favorite design items at home?
LH : My favorite items are desk lamps, floor lamps, vases, screens, and chairs.
DI: Can you describe a day in your life?
LH : Reading, drinking tea, and drawing
DI: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?
LH : As a designer, one should have unique insights into the subject matter.
DI: From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?
LH : As a designer, the advantage is having a keen observation ability, but the disadvantage is sometimes being a bit sensitive.
DI: What is your "golden rule" in design?
LH : My "golden rule" in design is material testing.
DI: What skills are most important for a designer?
LH : I think aesthetics are the most important for designers.
DI: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?
LH : I designed using the most basic software PS, ai,3dmax. I usually find inspiration from nature or museums, and establish a material library to facilitate my own summarization.
DI: Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?
LH : I will spend a lot of time researching and communicating with users in the early stage, and spend a small amount of time completing it later.
DI: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
LH : The time for me to design an item mainly depends on the project timeline
DI: What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer?
LH : What I am most often asked is what I think is good about my design.
DI: What was your most important job experience?
LH : My most important work experience cannot be considered as work experience, it is my graduation project experience. Since graduation, I have never spent so much time designing again.
DI: Who are some of your clients?
LH : Some design companies.
DI: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why?
LH : I love themed design work the most, as it doesn't require aimless design.
DI: What are your future plans? What is next for you?
LH : In the future, I hope to create more designs that I enjoy.
DI: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself?
LH : Most of the time, it is self developed and designed.
DI: Do you have any works-in-progress being designed that you would like to talk about?
LH : What I am mainly working on is the design of the bamboo series.
