DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
WC : My design ideas come from memory of my childhood and fantasy novels and movies. My passion for art from my childhood naturally leaded me into the design world. I knew that something was different from others when I was a child and knew that I could express my emotion by creating art works.
DI: When do you feel the most creative?
WC : When I am in my quiet room.
DI: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
WC : I focus on my emotion and it is my priority whenever I design.
DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
WC : It is always different every time I design something.
DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
WC : My designs are my children so I feel precious about them.
DI: What makes a design successful?
WC : I think a design that expressed artist's passion is a successful one.
DI: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
WC : The effort.
DI: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
WC : I think designers are leaders of culture so they should express positiveness and it is important responsibilities.
DI: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
WC : My major sources of inspirations are fantasy movies and novels.
DI: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
WC : I love having fun with my design so I like to play with many different colors. My design style can be described as "maximalist"
DI: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
WC : I am currently living in Paris which is the central of fashion. It does affect my feeling and design.
DI: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?
WC : I would say be brave and continue do what they believe. It takes time to be recognized in the design world so be patience.
