DI: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?

CS : Born and raised with art and lego.

DI: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?

CS : small design studio in a rural part of Australia

DI: What is "design" for you?

CS : Creating 'experience' for all users

DI: What kinds of works do you like designing most?

CS : unique public structures / spaces

DI: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?

CS : Lego. Timeless, functional, Modular and can create amazing beautiful structures

DI: What was the first thing you designed for a company?

CS : A small extension to a house

DI: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?

CS : Natural elements, zink, perforated metal, translucent sheeting, timber

DI: When do you feel the most creative?

CS : the day before a create deadline

DI: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?

CS : layout and functionality

DI: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?

CS : scared, excited, humble

DI: What makes a design successful?

CS : well thought through. fit for purpose and site

DI: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?

CS : functionality

DI: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?

CS : form our lifestyle

DI: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?

CS : human experience are making a comeback. so, bespoke spaces

CS : never before

DI: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?

CS : travelling. observing others and other projects

DI: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?

CS : design are formed from the influence of the site and past history

DI: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?

CS : rural autralia. rich country with first world problems

DI: How do you work with companies?

CS : collaborative

DI: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?

CS : good relationship. someone that can takes lead, but also listen

DI: Can you talk a little about your design process?

CS : site visit, research history, look for existing inspiration

DI: What are 5 of your favorite design items at home?

CS : obscure camera, 1960's recline chair, handmade table

DI: Can you describe a day in your life?

CS : sleep, work, family

CS : create experience. listen to the site. observe others

DI: From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?

CS : ability to be creative and push boundaries

CS : collaborative

DI: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?

CS : hand sketches, 3d fly through software

DI: Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?

CS : set goals

CS : new cemetery that would function as a park and community space
